Parish Council Meeting 10th
July 2002
Rectory Road/Norwich Road - Junction Improvements:
We have recently been informed by Norfolk County Council
that the work is currently programmed to commence
in February 2003.
Bl150 Norwich Road - Hatching:
We have also be notified that the revised centre line
work should be completed by the end of August.
The Parish Council will continue to press for early
completion on both these schemes.
Both schemes are taking what seems to be a considerable
time before coming to fruition, but, there are laid
down procedures which have to be followed by the Authorities
before any works can commence.
Mineral Extraction Schemes:
As stated in last months Marlpit, Broadland District
Council have objected strongly to the Tarmac Application
and a number of people seem to be under the impression
that the final decision has been made. Broadland are
only consultees, the same as the Parish Council, the
final decision is made by Norfolk County Council and
this decision will not be until the Autumn.
There is still time to send objections in if you
wish to do so:
To: Ref ENV /C/5/2002/5004
Dept. of Planning and Transportation, Norfolk County
Council,
County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich NRl 2SG.
Mill Road Playing Field:
A number of parishioners have reported that the 'Springy
Duck' has been 'stolen'! This was removed by the Parish
Council as it has been broken. The possibility of
a replacement will be looked into once funds are available.
Mobile Police Office:
This will again be in attendance on Wednesday, 14th
August and Thursday, 12th September 2002 in the Rectory
Road lay-by - 1.45 pm to 4.00 pm.
Next Monthly Meeting:
Wednesday, 11th September in the Tithe Barn - Please
Note: There will be no meeting in August.
