| As I
write we are over half way through our outdoor season
and this year so far we have enjoyed several golden
warm summer evenings with friends and temporary foe
on greens from Shotesham in the south of the county
to Sheringham in the north.
Our league results are satisfactory but most of us
are suffering from a surfeit of matches as we have
too few players to satisfy the demands of league play
in three leagues. We desperately need new players
and we will be addressing this problem in the close
season.
We are also thinking now of close season fund raising
to assist with the ever present and increasingly costly
business of keeping our bowling green in good order.
We have booked the Village Hall for a series of Bingo
Evenings on the first Saturday in each month at 7.30pm
from November 2003 through to March 2004 inclusive.
Put these dates In your diary now.
Other events will be arranged and these will be announced
in later issues of the Marlpit.
