August / September 2003

New Members - We are pleased to welcome New Lions Julie and Terry Vout from Hoveton who have been guests at our business & Social events during the past month they like what they have seen and we like their company too. If you would like an insight into what we do give us a ring or call in at The Lions Shop, Lion Leslie with her Lions and her Lions volunteer army will point you in the right direction.

Roving Tombola - On the 29th June we had a Tombola stall at the Hoveton Scouts Fete, it raised £115 and again at Rackheath CP at their celebration reunion on Saturday 12th July as they move into a new building next term. The Tombola raised an identical £125. Donations will be made to each organisation. If you would like us to come along to your event and make a donation to your cause please get in touch. The Tombola is exactly the same as the one running most days in the Precinct in Hoveton where Lions and friends raise money for Breast & Prostate Cancer Charities along with other local causes.

We need your Bra’s Campaign is drawing to a close, we will be taking those collected by Schools and Scout Groups to March at the end of September. We will publish the amounts collected then, keep them coming to The Lions Shop till the end of September please.
