• 2nd Coltishall Scout Group •

August / September 2003

Your Scout Group meets at the Church Centre on the RAF Coltishall Married Quarter site.

The Station Commander of RAF Coltishall kindly allows us to use the building but we offer Scouting to all local girls and boys between the ages of 5¾ and 15½ years. The Group consists of three sections - Beavers, Cub Scouts and Scouts and young people can join any one and progress upwards according to age.

We are a very active and successful Group, enjoying many varied activities. We have some vacancies at the moment but we would like to offer the pleasures of Scouting to a larger number of’ people. The only limiting factor is the ratio of adults (warranted Leaders or helpers) to young people, thus ensuring that each member is treated as an individual and kept safe at all times.

If your girl or boy would like to enjoy Scouting or if you would be prepared to give up a little of your spare time in a very rewarding pastime, please give me a call. I will be pleased to give you more details and arrange for you to meet the Leaders and see what goes on.

Scouting in the UK

The Scout Movement is a modern, vibrant and forward thinking organisation offering young people an attractive, exciting and worthwhile pastime. It is the world’s largest mixed youth organisation. In the United Kingdom over half a million people experience the fun and friendship of modern Scouting in 10,000 Scout Groups. Scouting in the UK believes in equal opportunities for young people and Leaders.

Helping the Scout Movement

There are many ways you can help the Scout Movement. As a volunteer you could help over half a million young people pursue a worthwhile and enjoyable hobby. At the same time you can do something challenging and rewarding in your spare time, meet socially with others with similar interests and Have Fun! You can give as much or, as little time as you choose.
