On the night of Saturday, 27th October
2001, Mr and Mrs Tony Hunt along with their family,
organized a Halloween Hog Roast party at the Associations
premises.
Their aim was to promote a social event together
with raising cash for both Cancer Relief and the funds
of our Community Association.
To this end people bought £6 tickets in order
to enjoy the Hog Roast and entertainment laid on.
Around 50 various businesses and individuals generously
donated raffle prizes which netted some £790
in total. On top of this amount £650 was taken
in bar sales. All in all a triumph for the work force.
It is felt that we who enjoy what the Coltishall
Community Association and Social Club can offer the
local community welcome the innovation and initiative
which the Hunt Family has injected enthusiastically
into the quality of local life.
Tony and Linda have received a letter of thanks and
a receipt for the money given to The Cancer Care Society.
They would also like to thank all those people who
came and supported the evening.
