First things first. Congratulations in abundance to Matthew, Nicola and Georgina Nobbs who have been blessed with a son and brother respectively. We wish Edward Martin a warm welcome to the world and hope that he will live long and prosper as they say.

Our Christmas Jamboree will take place at the Recruiting Sergeant on Friday, 21st December 2001 at 8 pm and all members should have received their mouth watering menu by now. Please ensure that you have returned your slip stating your choice and the payment for your delight to Margot Miller at Bure View, Mill Lane, Horstead NR12 7AT by Friday, 7th December 2001 or you will go hungry!!

"Jack and the Beanstalk" is the Pantomime which will grace our boards during the week of
13th - 16th February 2002 and Libby is busily organizing rehearsals, scenery and costumes even as I type this. The first opportunity to purchase tickets will be on Saturday, 19th January 2002 from 2 - 3 pm at the Tithe Barn. There will be a limit of a maximum of 6 tickets per person on that day. Watch for the posters nearer the time for further details.

Now seems as good a time as any to let you know of the production dates for the coming year so you can get out those brand new diaries and write in your neatest writing, which will regress into an illegible scrawl by March, all the dates when you need to be at the Barn being entertained. For those of you wishing to join or considering whether you might by in a production here is when not to book your holidays!

Pantomime 13th - 16th February 2002
May Revue 11th May 2002 (Members and guests)
July play 17th - 19th July 2002
October 23rd - 25th October 2002
Pantomime 19th - 22nd February 2003

If anyone is willing to host a social evening during 2002 I would be very grateful if they would call and volunteer a date as soon as possible. Otherwise you get offered Thorpe Marriott with far too many children for comfort!!

With all this information there is no space left for any of my usual ramblings (something to be grateful for) so I must take this opportunity to wish everyone a Joyous Christmas and a Peaceful New Year (I mean after the mad celebration on the night of course). May 2002 bring all you could wish for.
