It seemed quite nice to read an article from time to time in The Marlpit informing parishioners on just what was happening in the Bell Tower, so I thought I would try and keep it going.

On Saturday 27th October we were very pleased to be able to ring 'The Wedding Bells' for Michelle Ellen Abbs and Craig Alan Johns, I wonder if Michelle has got used to answering to 'Mrs Johns' yet? The flowers in the church were really lovely, the sun was shining, everyone smiling and taking photographs, what more could you want. Congratulations and all good wishes to them both from the Coltishall Band of Bell Ringers.

On the evening of 27th October a band of ringers from Lowestoft visited St. John the Baptist Church to ring 'A Quarter Peel' to celebrate The Revd. Lorna Wood's Induction to The St. John the Baptist's clergy, and one of our own band, namely Harvey Meadows, was invited to ring with them. The people who rang the Quarter Peal were Linda Vickers - on the Treble, Diane Leach -on number two bell, Harvey Meadows - on number three bell (Coltishall tower ringer), Richard Vickers - on number four bell, David McLean - on number five bell (The Captain) and Ian Lloyd - on the Tenor. It all went very well, and I hope some of those living near by were able to enjoy listening to them ringing.
