Gravel Extraction Planning Meeting 11th October
at County Hall: Mr Brighton had attended on behalf
of the Parish Council and had drawn the members attention
to the traffic survey being carried out in June, therefore,
not taking into account the sugar beet campaign. This
has resulted in an additional survey being carried
out and the decision being deferred until the 20th
December, when it was hoped to discuss all three applications
(Frimstone, Longwater and Tarmac). This survey would
be more comprehensive that the original. It was agreed
that Mr. Brighton should attend the December meeting
to speak on behalf of the Council.
Tree Felling at Pond: Owing to the recent
storms Mr M Satchell had informed the Clerk that there
would be a delay in carrying out the work but it would
be completed on 14th November unless there were further
complications.

junction - A progress report had been received stating
that the next stage in the scheme is to advertise
a draft Traffic Regulations Order to prohibit access

of Bl150 Norwich Road and B1354 Rectory Road. Vehicles
will continue to use the access to Horners Terrace
and the Recruiting Sergeant Public House further east
along the B1150 Norwich Road. Comments were invited
by both Norfolk County Council and Broadland District
Council. After discussion Mrs Lawrance proposed the
Clerk be instructed to write stating that the Parish
Council had no objections to these proposals, seconded
Dr Watts. Motion Carried.
Playing Field Aerial Runway Replacement Pulley:
A quotation of £200 plus vat had been received
from Norfolk County Services. Work to consist of removing

to Highways at Aylsham regarding a weight restriction
on Mill Road had been passed to County Hall for consideration.
Mr Brighton reported that the Broads Authority had
budgeted a sum of money from the NEWS grant towards
the restoration of the beach area and now requested
a formal acknowledgement from the Parish Council that
they would be prepared to accept responsibility for
future maintenance of the area. After discussion it
was agreed that a letter accepting responsibility
be sent to the Broads Authority.
Mr Brighton then reported that Mr Gurney had been
notified that one of his trees had fallen across the
Western path and another had fallen on the other side
in the area not leased by the Broads Authority. Coltishall
Commons Trust would be clearing their dyke and had
agreed to cut up this tree during the process.
The Environment Agency had completed the underground
electrical cable laying to the lock complete with
two manhole covers, and a junction box on the side
