| PC Greaves couldn't
attend the meeting. Rev Laura Wood reported the problems
that the village as a whole was having regarding vandalism
and more recent violence. Many ideas were discussed
tencourage the try to discourage this anti-social
behaviour. The Police to be contacted regarding visiting
the schools and talking to the children. Further ideas
would be looked into including providing more facilities
for the youth of the village. The Chairman thanked
the Rev Lorna Wood and Rev Chris Walter for attending.
The changes to the Ward boundaries would not come
into effect until the year 2004. A new report had
been circulated. Coltishall Parish Council would hold
its next election in 2004 and that would only run
for 3 years. The next election of Parish Councillors
would be held in 2007 coinciding with the next District
Council Election
Sandy & Wyndam Rose were retiring from the Post
Office after 16 years. Mr A S Mallett to write and
thank them for their work within the village. It was
moved by the Chairman. Seconded by G E Chapman and
unanimously resolved:- That the Parish Council express
its appreciation of the services rendered to the community
over the past 16 years by Sandie & Wyndam Rose
who have served as Post Master & Proprietor of
the Village Shop. The Parish Council is also appreciative
of Mrs Rose's
services as School Governor and Parish Councillor.
The Parish Council thanks them both for their services
and wishes them well in their new life.
