I am dismayed to have received your hand delivered letter giving notice of an exhibition concerning a potentially invasive subject with less than a weeks notice. I would've very much liked to have been there but my business diary does not allow such short notice personal events to be scheduled - respectfully, I would suggest, nor would yours in similar circumstances. Please arrange for another hand delivered letter to all the recipients of the one I received (of whom I have no idea how many were involved) be hand delivered, cancelling the exhibition till after it has been scheduled through the pages of the village magazine and the Parish Council. Alternatively, repeat the event after it has properly advertised - notice of this should also be delivered to your selected addresses to give them an opportunity not to miss pre booked events, return from holidays etc., in respect of the exhibition on the 16th.

I have copied this and your letter to the editor of the village magazine, The Marlpit, of which there is no mention of the exhibition in the notes of the last Parish meeting or the magazine editorial. I feel it is a subject which is of sufficient concern to many more parishioners than your hand delivery post list and such an exhibition should not be missed by anyone.
