February 2003

Once again the group had a successful year in 2002. Although some members have departed, for unavoidable reasons, we still remain an active band of dancers. For those of you that may have recently arrived in our ‘Two Villages’ the group is active every Thursday evening (Theatre Productions excepted from 8 – 10.30 pm. The aim of the Group is to promote Ballroom Dancing within the local area.

We provide a facility for those who can dance, or who are learning to dance and wish to gain extra practice time. Whilst we do not provide tuition, all our regular members are only to pleased to offer help and guidance where necessary.

Dancing is to ‘Strict Tempo’ music (CDs), linked to the in-built surround sound system. All standard Ballroom and Latin dances are catered for plus the Ballroom and Rock and Roll Jive.

Its irrelevant what standard you may be, as the evening is an informal social occasion, providing an opportunity to meet new people, have a relaxing and pleasant time and also loosen up those dormant muscles! We do, however, respectfully request that newcomers joining the Group ‘long-term’ wear the appropriate footwear to prevent unnecessary damage to the building floor which was laid a while ago at great expense!

So, if this activity appeals to you, then please ring the number below for further information, or better still pay us a visit On a Thursday evening and judge for yourselves!
