• Sand and Gravel Extraction •

July 2002

Tarmac's plan to extract 7.5 million tonnes of gravel from a site off Norwich Road Horstead was considered recently by Broadland District Council who slammed the proposal and agreed to send a strong objection to County Hall.

Tarmac's planning application will be heard at County Hall in the Autumn but you don't have to wait until then to raise your personal objection. The editors would emphasise the comments within Christine Benton's letter that written objections from individuals are indeed much more powerful.

Address your objections to:- Department of Planning and Transportation, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich NR1 2SG

State the reference No:- ENV/C/5/2002/5004 - Application for sand and gravel extraction at Horstead by Tarmac Southern.

It doesn't take long to write a letter of objection and if you pass it to a Marlpit Editor will post it for you.
