The Silent Tribute and Exhortation at our June meeting were led by our Chairman, Bob Jennings. During the Silent Tribute we remembered the late Don Carter, a member who passed away recently. The Branch was represented at Don's funeral and at that of Jim Wheeler. The chairman reported that he had attended a Forum, led by Bryan Emery (County Chairman Essex RBL). Bob said the forum had been very fruitful with many constructive ideas being put forward. These would be collated nationally for discussion at the National Conference.

The next meeting of Group 5 RBL would be held at The Recruiting Sergeant, Horstead on Wednesday, 10th July at
3 pm.

This year the County Rally, held on 16th June, was combined with a Jubilee Family Fun Day complete with Bouncy Castles, roundabouts, Tombola, sideshows and a car boot sale. There was an exhibition of military vehicles and music was supplied by a RAF Band and a Pipe and Drum Band. A display of marching was given by the County Standard Display Team. The focal point of the rally was, of course, the annual Service of Remembrance led by the Rev Canon William Sayer (Deputy Chaplain to Norfolk County RBL). The County Chairman, Mike English led the Silent Tribute and Exhortation, which included the Last Post and Reveille.

The next Branch meeting, will be held at the Coltishall Church Room on Monday 8th July at
7.30 pm.
