• To Dog Owners •

July 2002

The footpath behind Kings Road, Coltishall and the allotments down to St James, is very often fouled by dogs being taken for walks by their thoughtless owners.

Dogs infected by the round worm called Toxocara Canis, pass eggs out in their faeces to contaminate the soil.

Children going to and from school use this path and they often tread in dog excreta and bring it into their homes on their shoes.

Dog owners must be more responsible and remove their dog mess and use the bin provided.

Residents living in this area are very concerned at the lack of consideration from some dog owners.

Pat Morris, Janet Moore, A Cooper

Editor's Note: I live just around the corner from this Public Footpath and it is shocking to see the mess that some dog owners leave behind!!
