Coltishall Benefice - Bureside Churches Together

Our Christian Aid co-ordinator Carol Murphy moved away during the year and unfortunately we were unable to replace her in time for the 2003 Christian Aid Appeal. However, we did our best by congregations taking donation envelopes for themselves and friends and neighbours and by some stalwarts doing street collections - and we managed to bring in a total of £674.56 plus £59.15 from the Christian Aid Service collection at Great Hautbois making a grand total of £733.71p. Also, of course, there will be tax reclaimed from donors who completed the Gift Aid declaration. Grateful thanks to everyone who donated and collected and especially those who managed street and area collections.

The story doesn’t end there - we need a new Christian Aid Co-ordinator for this Area -perhaps it’s a worthwhile thing you could do by yourself or with a friend - think about it please and if you need more information before you make a decision or commitment, telephone me on 737701 and if I cannot answer your questions I can certainly put you in touch with somebody who can! The Christian Aid motto is ‘We believe in life before death’. Millions of pounds are raised each year for the most worthwhile of causes - a little of your time for two or three weeks each year can help this vital work.
