March 2002

Sunday 3rd March will be our Self Denial Altar Service Sunday, when we will give personally to the work of The Salvation Army in other countries.

Sunday 10th March our Mother's Day meetings will be at 11am and 3pm - all are welcome to share with us on this special day.

On Palm Sunday 24th March we will be sharing in a United Procession followed by a United Service in Coltishall Church at 10.30am. Our afternoon meeting will be as usual at 3pm.

Our Good Friday Service will be held at 10.30am on Friday 29th March - come and reflect round the cross with us.

The ecumenical Songs of Praise will be held at 6.30pm on Easter Sunday 31st March - again this is open to anyone and you would be made very welcome.

The Over 60's Club will take place every Monday in March commencing at 2.30pm. If you would like to attend and need transport please telephone.

Mini-Market with Light Refreshments will be held on Tuesdays, 5th and 19th March from 9.30am till 11am. We are now able to receive your good quality clothing and bric-a-brac again - these items can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Hall any Tuesday between 9am and 11.30am or if you need them collected please telephone Mrs Ann Beaver to arrange.

Coffee Mornings will take place on Tuesdays, 12th and 26th March at the hall from 9.30am till 11am. Why not come along and enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea!) and a chat.

Luncheon Club will take place each Wednesday in March at 12.30pm. If you know anyone who would benefit from attending this Luncheon Club (transport can be arranged) or if you would like to attend yourself, please contact Envoy.

Ladies Fellowship in March will be at 8pm on 25th and David Craske will be presenting stories, poems and thoughts on the subject 'Love Each Other and Especially those less Fortunate Than Ourselves'. Our meetings are very friendly and informal and are open to any lady - you do not have to belong to the Salvation Army to attend. (Tel: Sue Blackburn - for more information).
