• Coltishall & Horstead After School Club •

March 2003

We are very pleased to let you know that we have been successful in gaining funding from the New Opportunities Fund (NOF which uses money from the National Lottery Fund) to help set up a new After School Club for local children between the ages of 5 - 11.

The club will run every weekday in term time from 3.15 - 6.00 pm starting at the beginning of the summer school term (after Easter). There will be lots of different activities for the children and snacks available. The club will be inspected and registered by OFSTED and will be run by qualified child carers (see below!). The After School Club has been set up to operate as a non-profit making organization with charity status.

It is envisaged that the initial funding for 16 child places will help establish a club that parents can rely on to look after their children in a relaxed, fun and controlled environment whilst they are free to work extended hours past school pick-up time. The fees will be able to be reclaimed under the new system of Child Tax Credits (more information from www.taxcredits.inlandrevenue.gov.uk)

Committee members: Judith Fynn, Sally Edmunds, Sarah Softley, Sonja Marczewski, Harriet Getley, Gary Fowlkes
