March 2003

Our services take place each Sunday (Except the last Sunday in the month) at 11am and 3pm – a warm welcome awaits you – why not share in worship with us.

Sunday, 2nd March is our Self-Denial Missionary Appeal Altar Service Sunday when during our services at 11am and 3pm we will have the opportunity of giving to the International work of the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army operates in 108 countries in the world where as well as preaching the Gospel, we have hospitals, children’s homes, schools, rehabilitation and social work centres, educating and supporting self sufficiency programmes, feeding and caring for the hungry and homeless and endeavouring to meet the needs that there are. This Sunday is when we give personally to support the missionary work of The Salvation Army.

Mini-Market with Light Refreshments (good quality clothing, bric-a-brac, etc) will be held on Tuesdays, 4th and 18th March from 9.30am till 11.30am. (Tel: 01603 737326).

Coffee Mornings will be held on Tuesdays, 11th and 25th March from 9.30am till 11.30am. Why not come along and enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea!) and a chat.

The Over 60’s Club will take place on each Monday in March commencing at 2.30pm. If you would like to attend and need transport please telephone 737326.

Luncheon Club will take place each Wednesday in March at 12.30pm. If you know anyone who would benefit from attending this Luncheon Club (transport can be arranged) or if you would like to attend yourself, please contact Envoy on 737152.

The Ecumenical Songs of Praise will be held on Sunday 30th March at 6.30pm – this is open to anyone and you would be made very welcome. Come along and sing your favourite hymn.

LADIES FELLOWSHIP will be held on Monday, 24th March at 8pm when Tony Crouch is coming along to talk to us about his experiences in the Norfolk Regiment who were known as ‘The Holy Boys’. If you have never been to one of our meetings, or you used to attend, you would be especially welcome to come along and share with us. Our meetings are very friendly and informal and are open to any lady – you do not have to belong to the Salvation Army to attend.
