Open meeting Wednesday, 7th May 2003
Village Hall 7.30pm

The CCA is charged by the Parish Council with the responsibility for managing the day to day running of the Village Hall, Sports and Social Club building (The Village Centre) and the playing field facilities. A number of Clubs and Organisations using the buildings and facilities are affiliated to the CCA and it is the parent body of the Sports and Social Club.

Since becoming Acting Chairman, following the upheaval last November, which Jackie Elvin referred to in last month’s Marlpit, it has become apparent to me and the small nucleus of officers and committee members remaining that some public discussion was needed to explain what the CCA does, what its aims and objectives are and how it is organised. We have also felt that there was a need to clarify the relationship between the CCA and Sports and Social Club and this is reflected in the proposed revised Constitution to be discussed this evening. The aim is to make it quite clear that the organisations however labelled are working together for the community.

We are anxious to make the CCA more representative of the Coltishall Community. We desperately need new people with energy and enthusiasm to join our committee and we also require three Trustees.

Please come along and join in the discussion and volunteer to help.
