What a great night we had at our Quiz. Twelve teams, comprising 79 contestants competed. Questions posed by Harvey Meadows often set the ‘old grey cells’ working and if we didn’t get it right then we broadened our knowledge - as Chris Tarrant would say ‘it’s easy if you know the answer’.

Our thanks are due to our President, Jack Campbell, (Questionmaster) and Harvey Meadows who set it all up. What a delightful ploughman’s supper was prepared and served by our Welfare Secretary, Margaret Montgomery, and her band of volunteer ladies - who also did all the washing up!! Our warmest thanks ladies. Thanks also to Gisela Revill who raised £136 on the raffle. As a result our funds have benefited by the grand sum of £300.

You can only have a successful raffle if you have a table full of prizes and for their part in supplying the prizes we thank:

Margaret & Clifford Lanham
Margaret & Peter Montgomery
Charlie Smith
Bobbie & Jack Campbell
Sylvia & Bob Jennings
Gisela Revill
Coltishall Post Office
Top of the Crop
T C Fines
Monalisa Barber Shop

Ruth & Allan Eades
Bob Munnings
NAAFI Shop, Coltishall
Recruiting Sergeant
Roger Birchall
Horstead Garage
Shades Hairdressers
Kay & Bert Moore
Eddie & Pauline Watts
And to those members & friends who placed prizes on the table as they arrived.

Of course, without the 79 contestants there would have been no Quiz so thanks to everyone of you. Congratulations to the winning team who amassed 98 points out of a possible 110.
