November 2003

Well, autumn has arrived and very beautifully so. The colours around the village are well worth the effort of a walk particularly as winter is no doubt just around the corner.

Talking of winter, the next edition of the Marlpit will be the last one before Christmas, so if you have any articles, advertising etc., please make sure you give it to any of the Editors – details on the back page.

I would like to thank all those people who responded to the request for new staplers and deliverers last month. It's really nice to see so many villagers trying to get involved with local issues.

The on-going saga of the Tarmac application is still with us. Further on in the Marlpit you will find details of who to write to if you wish to state your objections to the proposals. There are also some ideas which you might wish to consider including in your letters.

There is a Public Forum on Saturday 8 th November at 2.30pm where plans will be available for viewing as well as a discussion. Everyone is welcome. Remember, time is running out for your objections.

Andrea
