I had hoped to raise £707 for the run which was held on the Friday 19th July to take the total for the three runs so far to £2,000, happily that was greatly surpassed and to date with donations and various sponsorships we have raised £961.03. We are still awaiting a couple of promised donations and a promised sponsorship that I fear will never be paid in. However, we can all be very pleased with ourselves that the efforts of so many runners, walkers, marshals, donators and sponsors have all helped a worthwhile local charity. As you all probably know Quidenham is part of the East Anglia's Children's Hospices and their purpose is to provide care for terminally ill children and to support the families.

There where 138 entered, 136 starters and I am pleased to say 136 walkers and runners finished, plus assorted dogs.

Of the £961.03 raised, £392.53 was the profit on the event (entry fees less expenses), £270 donations and £288.50 sponsorship

Donations were from Marjorie Chapman, Paul Lambert, Michael Blackburn, Ian Blackburn, Shades Hairdressers, Hewitts Butchers, Top of the Crop, Lions of Hoveton, Sizzlin Sue, Jackie Elvin, Marilyn Williams, Nobby Snelling, PO store, Red Lion PH, Landamore Fish and Claire the Post plus some that were given to reception on the night.

My thanks to you all, and if I've missed anyone please forgive me, on the night at times it was a little confusing and I'm getting old.

Sponsorship was obtained by Paul Groves, Ashley Holland, Marilyn Williams and Gill Riley.

Next year the date for the event should be Friday, 18th July, but who knows?
