Parish Council Meeting - 11th September 2002

The meeting commenced with a short silence in memory of the victims of the atrocities in America on the first anniversary of 11th September 2001

B1150 Norwich Road - Hatching

This has now been completed and it is hoped that it will successfully alleviate the problems being experienced by the local parishioners.

Mineral Extraction Schemes

The site visits held on Tuesday, 30th July were well attended and the Planning Committee from Norfolk County Council were interested in all opinions expressed.

Mill

We have been notified that the Environment Agency will shortly be electrifying their equipment on the Mill site. This will entail the removal of the permissive bridge across the lock but a replacement bridge, which will also give wheelchair access, will be erected at a mutually agreed point giving continued access to the permissive footpath on the Coltishall side of the river.

Mill Road Playing Field

A new pulley is awaited for the aerial runway which unfortunately has been out of commission during the summer months. It will be replaced as soon as possible.

Mobile Police Office

This will again be in attendance on Thursday, 10th October 2002 in the Rectory Road lay-by at Horstead - 1.45pm to 4.00pm.
