| As I
told you in the last Marlpit we carried out a door
to door collection during September to ask for a contribution
to The Salvation Army’s Social work in the United
Kingdom. Should you have missed our collector and
would like to give or you have an envelope that has
not been collected please contact me on – 737495.
We will be holding a Coffee Evening on Tuesday 14th
October commencing at 7pm at 2 Alexandra Villas, Norwich
Road, Horstead. There will be a cake stall and a bring
and buy stall. You will be very welcome at this Coffee
Evening to raise funds for the Salvation Army in Coltishall.
The Over 60’s Club will take place each Monday
in October EXCEPT Monday 27th commencing at 2.30pm.

27th there will be a Ladies Rally commencing at 2pm,
the Leader will be Captain Elizabeth King from Aylsham
and the Speaker will be Major Irene Draycott from
Norwich – this Rally is open to all ladies.
Mini-Market with Light Refreshments (good quality
clothing, bric-a-brac, etc) will be held on Tuesdays,
7th and 21st October from 9.30am till 11.30am. (Tel:
01603 737326).
Coffee Mornings will be held on Tuesdays, 14th and
28th October from 9.30am till 11.30am. Why not come
along and enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea!) and a chat.
Luncheon Club will take place each Wednesday in October
at 12.30pm. If you know anyone who would benefit from
attending this Luncheon Club (transport can be arranged)
or if you would like to attend yourself, please contact
Envoy on 737152.
On Sunday 5th October we will be celebrating our
Corps Anniversary and will have a visit from Diss
Songster Brigade who will be leading our meetings
at 11am and 2.30pm. Come and share with us on this
special occasion and hear some fine singing and musical
items.
The Ecumenical Songs of Praise will be held on Sunday
26th October at 6.30pm – this is open to anyone
and you would be made very welcome. Come along and
sing your favourite hymn.
LADIES FELLOWSHIP will be held on Monday, 27th October
at 8pm. Alan Axford will be giving us a talk on Bluebird
Travel and their Coach Holidays in 2004. If you have
never been to one of our meetings, or you used to
attend, you would be especially welcome to come along
and share with us. Our meetings are very friendly
and informal and are open to any lady – you
do not have to belong to the Salvation Army to attend.
